What is a home inspection?

A home inspection is a limited, non-invasive examination of the condition of a home, often in connection with the sale of that home. In North Carolina anyone conducting a home inspection must be licensed and insured. All inspections conducted by FTPS are conducted in accordance with the NCHILB Standards of Practice.


How long does it take to do a home inspection?

How long does a home inspection take? A home inspection typically takes between 2 to 3 hours. We suggest that you leave small children with a sitter if possible as you will want to follow the inspector closely as he inspects your new home and explains his findings.

How do I get the best results with mowing?

You should mow your lawn at a minimum of 3” during the growing season. Depending on the lawn, maybe even a little higher. You should be able to walk across your lawn and leave a slight imprint and then watch it spring back up. If it lays flat and doesn’t spring back, you are mowing too high. If you can’t leave an imprint, you are mowing too short. Mow your lawn frequently enough so that you don’t remove more than 1/3 of the leaf blade, and remember to keep your blades sharp and change directions each time you mow
